Crafting Tip:

To give these safety pins a realistic vintage or galvanized metal look, paint the base pieces with a metallic silver or charcoal gray acrylic paint. Once dry, lightly dab a tiny bit of brown paint or distressing ink around the edges and inside the loops to simulate a perfectly aged, rustic rust patina!
